Job Title: Accountant
Location: Preston 
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (Dependent on Experience)
 
We are recruiting for a highly-regarded independent accountancy firm in Preston seeking an experienced accountant to join their already amazing team.
As an Accountant for the firm, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing them with high-quality advice and guidance on a wide range of accounting and financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of clients with duties that include: bookkeeping, accounts preparation, VAT return and liaising with clients.
• Preparing client accounts, notes and queries for a variety of sole trader, partnerships and limited companies. (Managing Partner will finalise accounts with client and advise on adjustments).
• Preparing basic personal and corporate tax computations and returns.
• VAT returns.

 
Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Hold at least 3-4 years’ worth of UK Practice Experience
• Experienced with Quickbooks, Xero, Excel and Sage Accounts would be ideal.
• Experience of CIS would be useful.
• You may be professionally qualified but your experience and personal qualities are far more important than professional qualifications.
• Qualified by experience candidates and people who have stopped studying are welcomed. *This employer doesn’t have the bandwidth to support an active studier*
