Remote Bookkeeper

Role - Remote Bookkeeping Position
Location – Preston 
Salary - £25,000 - £33,000

Puro Accountancy are delighted to be supporting an Accountancy practice in Preston in their search for a full-time or part-time permanent Bookkeeper to join their friendly well-established team of accountancy professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Data entry of accounting information
• Reconciliation of key accounts (bank, debtors, creditors, VAT, PAYE)
• Investigation into discrepancies and finding solutions
• Preparation of Quarterly/Monthly VAT returns and submissions
• Meeting monthly VAT deadlines
• Reviewing VAT transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Keeping up to date with HMRC VAT and other relevant regulations along with new releases within cloud software
• Liaising with clients in a professional manner

Requirements:

• Hold around 4 or more years solid bookkeeping experience within a UK Practice Accounting setting
• Demonstrate high levels of communication skills
• Have strong technical expertise in VAT
• Be capable of working independently, taking initiative, and quickly adapting to the role
• Have knowledge of post-Brexit VAT regulations and experience in recording such transactions within accounting software
• Hold the right to work in the UK
