Job Title: Payroll/Bookkeeping Specialist
A growing accountancy practice in Dublin is seeking a skilled Payroll/Bookkeeping Specialist to join their expanding management services team. This role is ideal for an experienced, detail-oriented professional looking for a flexible work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process payroll for various clients, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, payroll tax filings, and statutory reports.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and year-end accounts.
  • Provide bookkeeping support and financial advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with the audit and accounting team to streamline processes.
  • Stay updated on payroll laws and accounting standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and bookkeeping, preferably in a practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll regulations and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., BrightBooks, Payday) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.
