Trainee/Junior Accountant
Job Details Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Cork
Salary: €35K – €40K, depending on experience
The ideal candidate will be a trainee accountant currently undertaking or completing exams, or recently qualified.
You should be eager to develop your skills in a client-facing role within a diverse General Practice environment, focusing on providing business advisory, accounting, audit, and tax services.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing client accounts, covering all aspects of accounts, tax, and audit.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, preparing reconciliation and financial analysis files for management review.
- Aid in the preparation of customer statements to maintain up-to-date customer accounts.
- Complete and file VAT and tax returns, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and compiling reports on monthly financial results.
- Generate reports and analyses to support management decision-making.
- Contribute to the preparation and completion of company audits.
- Develop and nurture client relationships.
- Offer tax planning advice to clients.
- Update internal documents and adhere to internal controls.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed to enhance existing services and processes.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Experience in an accounting role preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in English.
- Authorized to live and work in Ireland.
