We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a leading accountancy practice based in Hertford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join a dynamic team and make a real impact in a growing business. If you have experience as a bookkeeper in a UK accountancy practice we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing accounts up to trial balance for a portfolio of clients
• Performing bank reconciliations and processing payments
• Producing and submitting VAT returns
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide financial advice
• Occasionally supporting the team with payroll
• Using accounting software's such as Xero & Quickbooks

Requirements:

• At least 3 years' experience working in a UK accountancy practice environment
• Proficient in softwares such as Iris, Xero, Quickbooks etc
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Accounting qualifications are desirable but not essential
