We are supporting a thriving firm in Liverpool, and they’re expanding their team. If you are an experienced and motivated Audit Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on their growing Audit department.

Role Objectives:

As an Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Audit, contributing to the growth and development of the Audit team. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Team Management:

  • Support the Head of Audit in managing and developing the Audit team.
  • Provide effective supervision and training to ensure the team's success.
  • Conduct regular reviews, on-the-job training, and offer study support to team members.

2. Audit Planning and Execution:

  • Plan audits effectively, ensuring comprehensive audit testing.
  • Oversee and complete all parts of the audit file, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Review all accounts and provide constructive feedback to team members.

3. Managerial Tasks:

  • Carry out managerial duties to support team development.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Audit to allocate work across the team.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Organise and lead weekly team meetings to discuss client deadlines, workload, and billing targets.
  • Foster a positive team environment and encourage open communication.

5. Client Engagement:

  • Attend client meetings, building strong working relationships.
  • Contribute to winning new work by showcasing our expertise and capabilities.

6. Training and Compliance:

  • Assist in delivering CPD training and webinars to ensure the team remains compliant with legislative changes.
  • Drive best practices within the audit team, ensuring efficiency.

7. Portfolio Management:

  • Start building and managing your own portfolio of clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in audit planning, execution, and file completion.
  • Strong managerial and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement abilities.
  • Knowledge of legislative changes and commitment to continuous professional development.
