Puro Accountancy are delighted to be supporting an Accountancy practice in St Helens in their search for a full-time permanent Senior Accountant to join their friendly well-established team of accountancy professionals. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in working with a diverse range of clients, providing comprehensive accounting services and financial guidance.
Responsibilities for the Semi Senior/Senior Accountant will include:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting and tax services
- Prepare and review annual accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns
- Provide financial advice and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Mentor and lead junior team members, offering training and support as necessary
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc assignments, showcasing flexibility and adaptability
- Cultivate strong client relationships, identifying avenues for business growth and development
To be considered for the role of Semi Senior/Senior Accountant you will be/have:
- ACCA or ACA qualified, with ideally 2 years' or more accountancy firm experience
- Part qualified or QBE will also be considered
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting
- Hold strong experience with Excel, Xero, Sage, Accounting and Taxation software
- Friendly disposition and a team player
- Effective communicator, comfortable communicating with clients and peers at all levels
