Position: Accounts Senior
Location: Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary Banding: £35-40k (negotiable depending on experience/qualifications)

We are supporting a client who is expanding and seeking a dedicated and skilled Year-End Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team. If you have a passion for client relationship management and possess expertise in preparing year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, and P11ds, we want to hear from you!

Key Accountabilities:

1. Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Manage clients to ensure deadlines and responsibilities are met.
  • Assist Directors in negotiating fee agreements with clients.

2. Year-End Accounts:

  • Process small limited company accounts to the final accounts stage.
  • Contact clients for information and process it to Trial Balance.
  • Ensure internal records are up-to-date, and client deadlines are met.
  • Conduct regular internal client meetings to review and provide feedback on bookkeeping work.

3. Corporation Tax Returns:

  • Complete corporation tax returns, including computation.
  • Discuss corporation tax returns with clients and advise on liability payment.
  • Submit corporation tax returns to HMRC on time.

4. P11d’s:

  • Manage clients requiring a P11d submission via TaxCalc.
  • Correspond with clients and colleagues before preparation and submission of returns.

5. General:

  • Review own work and take ownership of its quality.
  • Check all work/reports sent to a third party.
  • Maintain excellent client relationship skills, both verbal and written.
  • Support colleagues and provide ad-hoc assistance to other teams.
  • Ensure clients are invoiced for all work carried out.


  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prioritization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Diplomacy and ability to remain technically up-to-date.
  • ACCA or ICAEW qualification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Excel is essential.
