Job Title: Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40-48k (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

We are supporting a leading independent accountancy firm based in Liverpool, dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager to join the team.

Duties include:

  • Assisting in planning and executing audits, including preparing audit files, reviewing financial statements, and assessing risks
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, maintaining strong relationships, and providing sound financial advice
  • Preparing and reviewing annual accounts, corporation tax computations, and VAT returns
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance and feedback
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and special assignments as needed

Ideal Applicant:

  • ACCA or ACA qualified, with relevant experience in audit and accounts
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Experience working in a similar role in an Accountancy firm
