Trainee Accountant

Job Title: Trainee Accountant
Location: Cork
Salary: €22,000 – €24,000
A well-established accountancy practice in Cork is looking for a Trainee Accountant to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to start or further their career in accounting, with full training and support provided.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
• Supporting VAT returns and payroll processing
• Reconciling bank accounts and handling accounts payable/receivable
• Assisting senior accountants with various administrative and accounting tasks
• Learning and gaining experience in audit, tax, and bookkeeping

Requirements:

• A keen interest in pursuing a career in accounting
• Ideally some relevant study (Accounting/Finance) or work experience, but not essential
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team
