Now, they are looking for a talented Senior Tax Manager to join their dynamic team and play a key role in their continued success.
Position Overview:
I am are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead my clients tax operations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of tax regulations, strong analytical skills, and the expertise to handle complex tax matters. This role will focus on overseeing tax planning, compliance, and reporting to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filing of all returns.
- Manage tax audits and handle inquiries from tax authorities.
- Advise on tax implications for business decisions and projects.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate tax-related financial reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, assessing their impact on the company.
- Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements.
- Mentor and support junior tax staff with training and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MST preferred).
- 7-10 years of tax experience, particularly in corporate tax within a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience in tax research, planning, and strategy.
- Proficiency with tax software and financial reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
