Job Title: Senior Accountant (Audit Focus)
Location: Co. Kildare (Hybrid)
Job Overview:
A leading accountancy practice in Co. Kildare, is seeking a qualified accountant with strong audit experience to join their team. This firm specializes in supporting small and medium-sized businesses with accounting, auditing, taxation, business advisory, and succession planning services. The ideal candidate will have experience managing client portfolios and handling audits from start to finish, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all stages of external audits, from planning to completion
- Handle a portfolio of clients with various accounting and tax needs
- Prepare SME financial statements (FRS102/1A and 105)
- Ensure compliance with company law and prepare CRO returns, particularly annual returns
- Provide tax support across CT, IT, CGT, VAT, and RCT
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Use and learn various accounting software in a digital working environment
Qualifications & Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years of practice and audit experience
- Strong knowledge of SME financial statement preparation and company law
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Experience in managing client relationships and working within a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
