About the Role:
A well-established Chartered Accountancy firm, with over 80 years of service to both Irish and multinational clients, is seeking a Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in a small or medium-sized Irish accounting practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad portfolio of clients across various industries, providing audit, tax, and business advisory services.
Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with training in a practice environment and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Irish accounting firm, handling a range of general practice services
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Skilled in leading audit assignments, including team management, file reviews, and reporting for companies and groups
• Strong technical knowledge and awareness of current developments in the accounting profession; knowledge of Irish and UK Company Law and Tax Law is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Experience in managing and training junior staff
• Proficient in IT and accounting software, with a preference for experience in Relate Suite, Xero, Sage50, and MS Office
• Willingness to travel within Ireland, the UK, or internationally, with short or medium-term stays as required
• Ability to drive and access to a car is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the primary liaison for clients, offering timely advice and exceptional service
• Providing a range of services, including audit, tax, accountancy, and business advisory
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements
• Managing and ensuring the successful completion of audit assignments for Partner review
• Researching and addressing technical queries from clients
• Assisting in the training and development of junior staff
• Handling ad-hoc assignments as needed
