Job Title: Payroll & Bookkeeper
Location: South Dublin
My client is an accountancy practice in South Dublin, seeking a motivated individual for a Payroll & Bookkeeper role. Their practice serves a diverse client base across various industries, delivering high-quality, client-focused services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bookkeeping records (sales, purchases, bank)
- Accurately process and code invoices
- Process staff expenses
- Perform creditors/debtors/bank reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Conduct PAYE reconciliations
- Prepare and post month-end journals
- Prepare accounts to trial balance
- Process payroll, VAT, and RCT
- Utilize Sage & Thesaurus software
- Handle other ad-hoc duties as required
Ideal Candidate:
- At least 3 years of experience in a general account’s role
- Experience in a bookkeeping/payroll role within an accountancy practice
- Payroll bureau experience
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Knowledge of Irish tax systems and reliefs
- IPASS qualification
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to work to and manage deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of the role
