Puro Accountancy are thrilled to be partnering with a leading Accountancy Practice in Derby in their search for an exceptional Audit Manager. As the business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to step into this newly created role and spearhead the development of a dynamic team of auditors.

As the Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Your leadership skills will shine as you build, mentor, and guide a team of auditors, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes growth and success. You will have the unique opportunity to shape the direction of the team, contribute to strategic decision-making, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the audit department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of auditors, overseeing their work quality and professional development.
  • Plan and execute complex audit engagements for a range of clients, maintaining a high level of technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate audit strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and addressing their audit-related needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record in audit, with substantial experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing client needs.
