Audit and Accounts Senior

Up to £45,000 DOE
Puro Accountancy are delighted to be supporting a well-established accountancy practice in Kettering who are currently seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.

The Role
The role is a mix of accounts and audit work split approximately 60% accounts / 40% audit.
- Preparation of accounts and business / corporation tax computations for predominately small limited companies with a wide range of turnover, but also sole traders and partnerships
- Liaising with clients to collect information and resolve queries to draft accounts and tax computations
- Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
- Audit of financial statements from planning to completion, ready for manager review
- Managing juniors on audit assignments including assigning, overseeing and reviewing of audit work
- Providing training, guidance, and support to members of the team as required
You
- At least 4-5 years practice experience in all aspects of audit, accounting, taxation, management information and statutory compliance
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Be able to run audit assignments immediately
- Experience of owner-managed small to medium-business accounts preparation including statutory financial statements
- Be flexible and proactive in managing multiple priorities
- Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone, and by email
- Must have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Excel
- The ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detail
- Be able to demonstrate your initiative to solve problems
- The ability to travel to clients’ premises as required
