Senior Accountant / Manager
Are you an ambitious ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant or someone with equivalent experience who is interested in joining a small Accountancy practice as a Senior Accountant / Manager. If the answer is yes – then we would love to hear from you. Ideally, this role will be a full-time office-based position reporting to the director, although some flexible working will be considered, and applications are welcome from candidates seeking reduced hours or part-time work.
This position is for a successful, family run firm with a wide-ranging client base. Located in the Walton-on- Thames, Surrey area - a region well placed for continued growth; both for investors and growing owner managed businesses across a diverse range of industries.
This is a rare opportunity to join an experienced, professional, and close-knit team. As a key member of staff, you will work closely with the Director and clients.

The role can be broadly split into three areas:
- Managing your own client portfolio, which consists of SME’s and owner managed businesses and reporting to the Director.
- Planning and reviewing the work of other staff
- Liaising directly with clients – advising current clients and onboarding new clients
Your key responsibilities include:
- Preparing statutory accounts and management accounts
- Assisting clients with Personal and Corporation Tax returns/compliance
- Reviewing the work of the Bookkeeping team
- Business Advisory work
- Assisting the Director with the general running for the firm and growth of the business.
- Systems used include Iris, Sage 50, Xero, and QuickBooks
Requirements:
- Must have 4 years UK accountancy practice experience working at a Senior/Manager level
- ACCA/ACA qualified
- Able to work well within a team
- Must have clear communication skills
